Our
Approach

At SoMi Counseling, our approach is centered around providing high-quality care to our clients. We believe in a collaborative approach, where clients and therapists work together to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs. Our therapists are experienced and compassionate, dedicated to helping clients navigate through various challenges and improve their overall well-being.

What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapeutic approach that examines the interconnectedness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, aiming to alleviate emotional distress and improve mental well-being. Through collaborative efforts with our trained therapists, individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns while also modifying maladaptive behaviors using evidence-based techniques such as cognitive restructuring, exposure therapy, and skills training. CBT is characterized by its structured and time-limited nature, focusing on achieving specific goals within a set number of sessions. Supported by extensive empirical research, CBT has demonstrated effectiveness in treating a variety of mental health issues, offering individuals practical tools and strategies to enhance their coping abilities and overall quality of life.
